Our passion for woodworking goes beyond our work. Join Rowan Woodwork for a community event.

An enduring woodworking community is only possible through inclusion and skill sharing. Open to folks of all backgrounds, experience levels, and abilities, our events aim to enable creativity, discovery, and togetherness.

We’d love for you to join us at one of our upcoming events.

First Fridays of the Month

Join us on the first friday of every month to bathe in the magick of Kingston Kez. “What’s that” you ask? Kezurou-kai (“Kez”) is a Japanese woodworking tradition that focuses on the art of hand planing. Folks of all woodworking knowledge levels gather at Rowan Woodwork to eat pizza, drink seltzer/beer, talk about their craft, and practice Kez together.

We hope to see you at this accessible, inclusive, and creative space, where we can learn and be together!

Rowan Woodwork was proud to host the 8th National Kezurou-Kai USA event. This two day event included classes, demonstrations, and instruction for those getting started with Japanese tools.

Congrats on our local Kingston Kez folks for taking gold in both planing competitions! Check back soon for photos.
